My work evolves around experimental painting using different mediums and techniques. My paintings are an exploration both of the outside world and my inner self attempting to unravel or unveil the mystery of our human existence. My paintings center around themes related to human beings both in the visible physical form, and the ethereal invisible dimension creating balanced and contemporary representations which merge abstraction and figuration. My interest builds around the creation process of the image, by revealing the layers that will bring the final painting together, giving a sense of movement, energy and transformation. Lively human faces, busts, and bodies are the result of repetitive gestures and the superimposition of rich layers of paint or sutil transparencies; evoking a feeling of an uncertain stage of the image and of the impermanence of matter and life itself.
