My work evolves around themes related to our human existence and the mystery of life itself. My paintings are an exploration of the two undeniable entities that are constitutive of our being: body (matter) and soul (energy). I have always been intrigued about their connection, as well as with the invisible energy field that surrounds us allowing us to exist in this present moment. My images combine abstraction and figuration, blurring the lines between these two in order to evoke a contemporary representation of the human body and face. Organic shapes, dynamic straight lines, transparencies and an underlying geometry in some cases create a visual field in which the figure emerges, or as well merges within. I am fascinated by the idea of capturing a lively image which is almost moving, transforming and evolving. My artwork is predominently developed through different painting mediums such as acrylic, oils and mixed media. My nomad lifestyle and the places I choose to live expand  my creativity and nurture my soul.
